Micosoft held a new event called
Envision in three cities around the world: Prague, Milan, Dubai to present its vision for the future as well as to have great discussions about the design and new technology field.

I attended Prague’s Envsion Event which took place on 14-15 January 2008 at Café Louvre (Prague city is wonderful) along with
Jason Kataropoulos, a great web developer from
Atcom company. There were great speakers from agencies (like RazorFish, Syzygy) and Microsoft team. Some of them were: Wolfgang Henseler, Phil Gerrard, Rob Lawrence but the most work speaker was August De Los Reyes (Experience Architect of Microsoft’s
Surface). There were a lot of discussions about the future of Web 2.0 and its main trends, the transmission from GUI (Graphical User Interfaces) to the more exciting NUI (Natural Graphic Interfaces) and the removal of mouse as a pointing device, the need for minimal and easily navigatable interfaces for all devices and the importance of emotion as a significant factor of the overall user experience.
All these issues were discussed mainly from the design point of view and how Microsoft can give users the best experience through websites and applications created using its
Expression Studio.
Expression studio is set of great software for websites and applications (Web, Blend, Design, Media,Encoder) compatible with ASP.NET technology. The new plug-in SilverLight allows developers to create rich applications with animation (like Flash) and Microsoft’s expectations are clearly to have a great piece of webdesign market.
